About

Our History

Established in 1998, the Flatlanders Bicycle Club

seeks to promote cycling for riders of all skill levels and

riding interests. From slow rolls to mountain biking,

from paceline rides to winter riding, the FBC offers

cycling opportunity for all. We maintain a monthly ride

calendar with rides throughout the year. We offer

group rides over scenic country roads, on the North

Coast Inland Trail, and the Waggoner’s Run singletrack

trail at White Star Park in Gibsonburg, OH.

our focus

  • Safety – Promote safe, confident riding.
  • Advocacy – Support better roads, trails, and cycling infrastructure.
  • Bicycle Culture – Celebrate the joy and community of cycling.
  • Education – Share riding skills and cycling knowledge.
  • Community Service – Give back through volunteerism and outreach.
  • Social Connections – Build friendships through rides and club events.
  • Inclusion – Welcome cyclists of all ages and abilities.

More than just a bike ride

The Flatlanders Bicycle Club is about more than riding bikes. We are committed to making cycling safer, more enjoyable, and more accessible for everyone in our communities. Through education, advocacy, and a shared passion for cycling, we strive to build a stronger bicycling culture in Northern Ohio.
